A reference is invited to the Grand
Lodge of India Circular No.530(109)/12 dated 12th December
2005 regarding Gyan Dhan Project launched by the then
Grand Master. As was mentioned therein, the project
was aimed at promoting value based education to Children
in the age group of8 to 12 years.
A set of 10 modules of Moral Education
in the form of skits/narration/animation etc. on CDs
were to be supplied for the purpose by the Grand Lodge
to all Lodges.
Each Lodge was to adopt two schools,
in their respective Cities/Towns /Metros and were required
to tie up with the management of the adopted schools,
for presentation of the CDs suitably. The Regional Grand
Masters were also requested to form a.core group in
each center, to monitor the implementation and progress
of the project.
Subsequently the first of the CD's
titled 'The Cracked Pot' was sent to all Lodges vide
circular No.530(124)/12 dated 20th April, 2006 with
similar instructions.
Further CD's of the series were sent
as follows:
1. 'The Red Rose' dated 31 st July
2006
2. 'The Tiny Frog' dated 29th Sept. 2006
3. 'Self Mastery' dated 11th October 2006
4. 'Team work & Hope' 16th October 2006
5. 'The Feather Story' and 'The Sharing Story' dated
25th October 2006
6. 'Not this way' and 'Fortune and Wisdom' 26th October
2006
No feed back has been received either
from the Regions or from the Lodges, regarding the progress
made in the implementation of the project. It is therefore
proposed that information in this regard may be furnished
in the enclosed proforma by each Lodge. The Regional
Grand Masters are also requested to give their connnents
separately on the implementation of the project.
As it is proposed to make a report
in this regard at the next meeting of the Board of General
Purposes, all RGM's and Lodges are requsted to furnish
the information on or before 20th January 2007.
