As you are already aware from the year 2004, 24th June
each year ( day of Summer Solstice) has been designated
as Universal Brotherhood Day. Last year this day was
celebrated by the Lodges/Regions with great enthusiasm
along with useful and productive Masonic activities.
It is suggested that this year also 24th June 2007 be
celebrated as "Universal Brotherhood Day"
in the following manner:
1. All Masons in a particular town/city may gather at
a convenient time and place for an informal assembly.
2. Suitable charitable project(s) may be implemented
involving local prominent citizens and other dignitaries,
with as much publicity as possible.
3. Pamphlets about Freemasonry and its objectives, to
the extent these are available or as may be downloaded
from our website www.masonindia.org may be distributed
among Masons.
4. If possible, arrangement may be made for publication
of news of this event in the local newspaper.
Lodges/Brethren desirous of incorporating any other
additional appropriate activities for this event may
do so.
A short report on these celebrations along with photographs
may kindly be sent to the Grand Lodge after the event.
With greetings,
