Lodges have been including an item in the agenda of
their meetings regarding reading of a Paper on Masonic
Education. Of late, the Grand Lodge of India has not
been forwarding such papers to the Lodges. Accordingly
Secretaries have been informing the members that no
papers on Masonic Education have been received from
the Grand Lodge of India and the item was being passed
over.
It has now been decided that as and when the Grand Lodge
of India comes across any interesting article or material
for being read out in the Lodge, these would be sent
to them and that Lodges may on receipt of such paper/material
include an item in the agenda on their next regular
meeting for the purpose. Lodges are also requested in
this connection, to encourage their brethren to contribute
suitable material to be read out or discussed under
this item of the agenda, if included, or alternatively
locate suitable articles from the Square & Compasses
or elsewhere including mIliicf the internet for being
read out.
We would also like to start a feature "Wecome to
the fold" in the Square & Compasses. Accordingly
Lodges are requested to collect from their initiates,
immediately after their initiation or on their becoming
full fledged Master Masons, suitable comments containing
their impressions about their InitiationlPassing/Raising
ceremony as also about Freemasonry in general. These
may then be forwarded with the photographs of the brethren
which will be considered for inclusion in the Square
& Compasses depending on the merits of such comments.
With greetings,
