In accordance with Rule 11 of the Book
of Constitutions, the Grand Festival is held by rotation
in each Region on the last Saturday in November, except
where the Grand Master directs otherwise with the consent
of the Board of General Purposes.
Accordingly, the Board of General Purposes at its meeting
held on 20th February 2009 at Nagpur, at the request
of the Grand Lodge of Southern India, has decided to
hold the Grand Festival at Chennai on Saturday the 21st
and Sunday the 22nd November 2009 instead of on the
last Saturday of November 2009. The Convocations of
the Supreme Grand Chapter of India and Grand Lodge of
Mark Master Masons of India will be held along with
the Grand Festival.
The venue for the Grand Festival Communication
on Saturday 21st November 2009 will be Convention Centre,
Chennai Trade Centre Complex, 6A, 6B, 6C, Mount Poonamalle
Road,. Nandambakkam, Chennai-600 089. (Detailed programme
in this regard will follow).
The venue for the Chapter and Mark
Lodge Convocations on Sunday the 22nd November 2009
will be Freemasons' Hall, 14, Ethiraj Salai, Chennai
with the following timings:
9.00 a.m.(for 9.15 a.m.) : Annual Convocation
of Supreme Grand Chapter of India
11.30 a.m. : Annual Convocation of
Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of India
1.30 p.m. : Lunch
This may be brought to the notice of
all the members of your Lodge/Chapter/Mark and R.A.M.
Lodge on your summons from now on till November 2009.
All Brethren/ Companions may also be requested to make
it convenient to atTend the Grand Festival/Convocations
on 21st and 22nd November 2009.

and detailed programme are being sent separately by
the Organizing Committee.
