It has been brought to notice that in extreme climatic conditions, it is often difficult for the brethren to be comfortable in the Dress Code as indicated above. The matter has been examined by the Protocol and Procedures Committee and it has been decided with the approval of the Board of General Purposes that in special cases of extreme climatic conditions the W.M. of the Lodges may relax the above code for specific limited period. It may however be ensured that brethren do not wear casual or loud coloured dress, half sleeve shirts, bush-shirts, T-shirts sandals, chappals, etc. and that in any case brethren shall wear shoes, socks and ties.
Necessary instructions in this regard may be printed in the summons of the Lodges concerned for meetings taking place during the specified periods of extreme weather as a note below the usual remarks about the Dress Code.
With greetings,
Yours fraternally,
(S.KRISHNAN)
Copy to Regional Grand Lodges and all Board Members.
