As you are aware, many Lodges have
completed more than 100 years of existence. There are
other Lodges also with great heritage, tradition and
history.
The records of these Lodges are therefore
'Treasures' for us, Masons, in India. It would therefore
be appropriate if such antique and interesting records
such as Minutes books, summons, portraits, photographs,
Regalia of eminent Masons etc. are well preserved or,
even microfilmed wherever appropriate. These will certainly
be 'treasures' to us and to posterity.
The Grand Lodge of India also proposes
to establish a Masonic Museum for display of such and
other Masonic 'treasures'. Lodges in possession of such
material are requested not only to preserve such material
safely but also send some of them to the Grand Lodge
for the proposed Museum.
With greetings,
