Sub: Competition of websites of Lodges under GLI

It is the desire ofMW The Grand Master, M.W.Bro. Arun Chintopanth, that all the Lodges under GLI be actively encouraged to have a website' fOf'their Lodge. This will not only improve communications within the Lodge butalso provide an interface for promoting a positive image of masonry amongst the public in general.

In keeping with this, it is proposed to conduct a competition for the best websites amongst Lodges under the GLI. A committee of three IT professionals appointed by the MW the Grand Master will access and evaluate the websites as per the schedule given below. Quality of content, ease of usage, speed of accessibility and navigation are some of the features that will be assessed.

Schedule:

1. Last date for registration of Lodges to participate in the Competition July 31,2005

2. Evaluation of web sites by the committee Aug 1,2005 - Aug 30, 2005

3. Compilation/consolidation of Committee Evaluation forms & submission of Ranking to MW The Grand Master September 15, 2005

4. Announcement of results at the Annual Grand Festival 26th November, 2005

It is proposed to award the following prizes:

1. Best Lodge Website under the GLI One prize

2. Second Best Lodge Website under the GLI One prize

3. Best Lodge Website in each of the four RGLs Four prizes

4. Second Best Lodgc Website in each of the rour RGLs Four prizes

The best website and the second best website under GLI will be chosen from amongst the Winners and Runners up websites of the four RGLs.

A Registration Form is enclosed herewith. You are requested to fill up and send the same to reach the Grand Secretary on or before Julv 31. 2005. Please note that you may register for the competition even if you do not have a fully functional website as on date. It should be functional for the committee to review on or before August I, 2005. H9wever you must provide the registered URL of your lodge website along with the Registration Form. There is no fee to participate in the competition.

However, you must have a registered URL for your lodge website at the time of sending the registration form, to participate in the competition.

** Please provide temporary username and temporary password if your website requires login to access some of its features. This can be valid from August 01, 2005 to August 30, 2005, for the Evaluation Committee to access your site for evaluation purposes.
