M.W.Bro. Prof.Capt.B.Biswakumar was awarded the Degree of D.Sc. ( Doctor of
Science) ( Honoris Causa),at the 20th. Annual convocation of The
Tamilnadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University, the apex body controlling and
administering all the Medical Institutions in the State,on 10th.
July,2010, at Chennai, at which Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam, former
President of India, was the Chief Guest.
D.Sc. ( Honoris Causa) is awarded by this University in recognition of
the Scientific,Academic and Social contribution of an Eminent Person
in the Medical field and is the highest Degree conferred by the
Institution. It is a kind of 'For the Sake of Honor' award.
Dr.B.Biswakumar was awarded this Degree in recognition of his Services
in the field of Neurology.
